Dr. Mendelow graduated from the University of Pennsylvania . She attended medical school at the Pennsylvania State College of Medicine in Hershey, Pennsylvania. From there she went to Baylor College of Medicine in Houston for her internship and residency. She completed her last year of residency at the University of Michigan and practiced there for over 22 years. Her husband is a Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon at the Shriner's Hospital for Children. She has two adult children and one adult dog. Her specialty includes breastfeeding counseling, Integrative Medicine and Nutrition and newborn care. She is Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine where she supervises medical students during their 3rd year Pediatric rotation. Her current practice is at the Center for Pediatric and Internal Medicine-West where she sees infants, children and adolescents up to 18 years of age.
