Beth Motley, MD, FACLM, DipABLM is a board-certified family physician and lifestyle medicine physician with Prisma Health. She practices primary care with a focus on type 2 diabetes remission, weight management, and the use of evidence-based lifestyle interventions to treat chronic disease. Dr. Motley leads The Diabetes Remission Clinic, a shared medical appointment program embedded within primary care that helps patients improve blood sugars, reduce reliance on medications, and work toward diabetes remission through intensive lifestyle change. She is also the author of Chapter 3, “Key Clinical Processes in Lifestyle Medicine, ” in the American College of Lifestyle Medicine’s Board Review Course, and of the American Academy of Family Physicians CME content, “Lifestyle Medicine in Practice.” Originally from Acton, Massachusetts, Dr. Motley earned a B.S. in Engineering from the University of Virginia before attending Eastern Virginia Medical School. She completed her Family Medicine residency with Greenville Health System.
