    Bill and Melanie Hyatt are the owners of The Goddard School of Greenville, SC. Bill and Melanie have three wonderful children named Miller, Alexander, and Parker. Melanie is from Hilton Head Island, SC. She attended The University of South Carolina where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Management and Master of Arts in Teaching Degree in Marketing Education. She also earned a Certificate in Learning Disabilities from The College of Charleston. Melanie has many years of experience teaching students at different levels (preschool, elementary, high school, and college). Melanie combines her love of giving back to others with her experience of high standards in education. Bill is from Greenville, SC. Bill receive his Retail Management Degree from The University of South Carolina. Bill has over 25 years experience in retail and business operations. Bill and Melanie look forward to offering a safe and nurturing environment where the children are having fun while learning.

    Ms. Kim Groves is originally from North Carolina and moved to Greenville with her family in 2003. Ms. Kim joined our management team in 2007 when we expanded our facility. Ms. Kim attended Western Carolina University where she received a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Psychology, with a focus in Child Psychology. Ms. Kim's previous experience includes teacher at a local preschool for five years, Director of a preschool program and Director of the Extended Day Program at Bell's Crossing Elementary in Greenville County. Ms. Kim is currently our Goddard School Director. She does a great job of maintaining an active system of parent-school communication to promote a strong relationship between the two and planning and implementing a program for teachers' professional growth. Ms. Kim also mentors other Goddard Directors around the country and has become an amazing resource for many other schools within our Franchise.     Ms. Melissa is originally from Buffalo, NY, and moved to Greenville, SC, to enjoy the beautiful weather and be closer to family. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from the University of Pittsburgh and later completed her Master’s Degree in Leadership and Administration from Liberty University. Ms. Melissa has five years of experience teaching 2nd and 3rd grade at a charter school, along with five years of experience teaching preschool children of all ages. She is passionate about growing as a leader and is dedicated to supporting both teachers and students in their educational journeys.

    Ms. Stephanie has over 17 years of child care leadership experience. She joined our leadership team at the end of 2022 as our Director of Operation Health & Safety. She ensures our school keeps up with the highest standards of safety and security. Stephanie has 2 children of her own, a son Jordan and a daughter Jayden. She is dedicated to implementing and maintaining the safety and security of children on a daily basis.

    Ms. Tina is originally from England and moved to South Carolina with her family in 2002. Ms. Tina has worked at The Goddard School since 2006 and earned her Associate Degree from Greenville Technical College in Early Childhood Education. Ms. Tina has worked with young children for over 20 years. Ms. Tina taught many age groups before joining our management team as the Director of Education. During her time as our Director of Education, Ms. Tina has been instrumental in acquiring our Partnership for 21st Century Skills accreditation. She also led the way in launching our STEAM programming through a project-based learning approach at our school. Ms. Tina stepped into the role of Onsite Operator at the Greenville location and is passionate about helping families and children become part of our school family.

    Ms. Taylor was born and raised in Greenville, South Carolina. Taylor has been with The Goddard School for over 10 years and has been instrumental in the growth and development of The Goddard School curriculum. She holds an Accounting degree from Pace University and a Master’s in Early Childhood Education from the University of North Texas. Ms. Alexia has four years of experience working with children, and has a strong background in teaching infants. Ms. Alexia is passionate about helping children reach their milestones, build safe connections, and feel loved and valued. Her favorite children’s author is Robert Munsch, known for his humor and imagination in storytelling.

    Ms. Alicia is originally from Brooklyn, New York. She moved to the Greenville area, so she could be closer to her family. She previously received her Associate Degree in Occupational Studies. Ms. Courtney has some dance experience as she has been dancing since she was 10 years old.

    Ms. Dez is originally from here in Greenville. She attended Woodmont High and is currently looking at different colleges to further her education. Ms. Dez has been working with children for many years and is excited to have the opportunity to have her first year in a preschool setting here at Goddard. She is passionate about creating a safe and fun environment for her students to grow. Ms. Dez loves to incorporate music, dancing and art into her daily classroom routines as it allows children to get creative and express themselves. Ms. Dez’s favorite children’s artist is Laurie Berkner because her songs are super upbeat and get all students up and excited to move.

    Ms. Hannah is originally from Lexington, SC, and moved to Greenville to pursue her career as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in Centerville. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Columbia College and brings 8 years of experience working with children ranging from 6 weeks to 12 years old. Ms. Hannah is passionate about witnessing the “aha” moments—when everything clicks and begins to make sense for each child. She especially enjoys using children’s books that support language development and help improve communication skills. In addition to her expertise in speech and language, Ms. Hannah also knows American Sign Language (ASL), which she uses to enhance her interactions with children and support diverse learners.

    Ms. Jaiden is originally from Greenville, South Carolina. She attended the College of Charleston, where she earned degrees in Psychology with a focus on Childhood Development and in African American Studies. Ms. Jaiden has worked with children of all ages for over seven years, drawing on her psychology background to guide her teaching and care. She is passionate about being a consistent and patient leader, bringing calm, steady energy to the classroom. Her favorite children’s author is Megan McDonald, best known for the Judy Moody series. She is currently working towards her early childhood education degree from Greenville Technical College. Ms. Janice has been working with children from infants and above for over 8 years. Ms. Janice’s favorite children’s author is Mo Willems because of how spontaneous his books are, and they are guaranteed to leave everyone smiling.     Ms. Jaquelyn is originally from New York City and recently moved to Greenville to enjoy life away from the busy city. She graduated from Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis High School and has five years of experience working with children with special needs, ranging from ages 3 to 14. Ms. Jaquelyn is passionate about creating a welcoming and safe environment for every child, helping them feel comfortable and supported at school. Outside of the classroom, she enjoys watching and playing basketball, her favorite sport.

    Ms. Jennifer is originally from New York. She moved to the Greenville area with her family when she was in middle school. Ms. Jennifer graduated from Greenville Technical College with an Associate Degree in Human Services. She has worked with young children of all ages for over 15 years. She loves to include songs in the classroom that get the children up and moving and incorporating in physical fitness.     Ms. Jessica is originally from Myrtle Beach and moved to Greenville with her husband for new opportunities. She attended Winthrop University where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in family and consumer sciences with a concentration in early intervention. Ms. Jessica has worked with children of all ages for over 14 years but has the most experience with children birth through 3 years old. She is passionate about her students meeting developmental milestones and helping them achieve each of them as this sets each child up for a successful future.     Ms. Kayla is originally from Illinois and moved to South Carolina in 2022 to be closer to her family. She graduated from Argonaut High School and attended Delta College. Ms. Kayla has over 10 years of experience working with children ages infants to 3 years old, she is passionate about supporting little ones as they reach important developmental milestones and celebrating every step of their growth, big and small. Her favorite children’s author is Eric Carle, whose colorful illustrations and simple, engaging stories inspire her love for teaching. Ms. Kylie also gets joy from seeing her students grow and master new skills that they will use as they become life-long learners.

    Chef Lisa is originally from Chicago and moved to the Greenville area to be closer to her family. She has over 20 years of experience in the food industry and is excited to bring her love of food to the children in our school. Chef Lisa has Italian roots and has spent many years perfecting recipes that were left to her by her grandmother. She is excited to find recipes that the children enjoy but also encourage them to try new and different foods.

    Ms. Madison is originally from New Jersey and recently moved to Greenville with her husband for his job. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and has over 10 years of experience working with children of all ages. Ms. Madison is passionate about health and safety, as well as creative arts, and enjoys incorporating both into her work with children. Her favorite children’s song is “Hop Little Bunnies” because it encourages listening and following directions while building both gross and fine motor skills. In addition, Ms. Madison knows some sign language, which she enjoys using to help children learn new ways to communicate.

    Ms. Maria is originally from Guatemala and moved to Greenville in 2003 for better education and job opportunities. She earned her Associates degree in Early Childhood Education with a Certificate in Special Education from Greenville Technical College. Ms. Maria has been working with children ranging in age from 18 months to three years old for over a decade. She is passionate about witnessing the wonder in everyday learning, and knowing what she is doing in the classroom does make a big impact on a child’s life. Ms. Maria’s favorite children’s authors are Eric Carle and Dr. Suess because of their fun and colorful stories. Ms. Maria is fluent in Spanish and looks forward to introducing it to her students.

    Ms. Marissa is originally from here in Greenville where she attended St. Joseph’s Catholic School. She has been working with children for over 3 years and loves creating a safe and warm environment for her students to learn. Ms. Marissa’s favorite children’s book is Dr. Seuss’s “Green Eggs and Ham” because that was her favorite when she was growing up. Ms. Marissa loves to incorporate music into her class’s daily routine, her favorite song to do with the students is “ring around the rosie” because it gets student up and moving.

    Ms. Michele is originally from Cleveland, Ohio, and recently moved to Greenville to be closer to her family. She graduated from Wordonia High School and went on to attend Lakeland Community College. With 9 years of experience working with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, Ms. Michele brings a wealth of knowledge and a warm, nurturing spirit to the classroom. She loves sharing songs with children and enjoys reading stories, especially The Gruffalo by Julia Donaldson and the timeless works of Dr. Seuss.

    Ms. Molly is originally from Florida, she grew up in Georgia before moving to South Carolina with her family. Ms. Molly brings her experience working with 4th and 5th graders to her passion for teaching young children. She finds joy in nurturing curiosity and loves watching the excitement in her students' eyes as they learn something new. Her favorite book is the Sesame Street classic "The Monster at the End of The Book," which she enjoys for its silly and hilariously funny story that never fails to delight children.     Ms. Rhianna is from Anderson, SC and attended Southern Wesleyan University where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Religion- Youth and Children's Ministry. Ms. Rhianna has worked with children for over four years, working in child care throughout college as well as currently in our Toddler classrooms.     Ms. Samantha is originally from Michigan. She moved to South Carolina with her husband and family to purchase a home. Ms. Samantha’s favorite author is Ross Burach, and she loves reading "The Very Impatient Caterpillar” because it’s fun.     Ms. Sierra is originally from Lexington, SC and moved to the Greenville area for her husband’s job. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from the College of Charleston. Ms. Sierra has worked with children from preschool through 1st grade for over 9 years. She is passionate about watching children grow and develop their interests, she says it’s one the most rewarding jobs! Ms. Sierra’s favorite book series is The Magic School Bus series by Joanna Cole.

Her favorite children’s book is “The Animal Family” by Randall Jarrell, as it holds a special place in her heart and brings back wonderful childhood memories.

    Amber is originally from Ethiopia and moved here with her husband. She obtained her Applied Biology Degree from Bahir Dar University. Besides English, Amber also speaks Amharic. She has worked with infants through four years of age for the past twelve years. Amber's favorite part of being in a classroom is watching the children interact and play with each other. Her favorite books are Pete the Cat as she enjoys watching the children interact throughout the book.

    Ms. Arielle was born in Miami, Florida, and moved to South Carolina six years ago. She graduated from John A. Ferguson High School and earned her Associate Degree before continuing her education at Florida International University, where she received a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Ms. Arielle is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Social Work at Florida State University. She has 15 years of experience working with children. Ms. Arielle is passionate about teaching and finds great purpose in helping kids discover new things. She loves watching them grow, learn, and reach their potential. Her favorite children’s songs are by Super Simple Songs, as she enjoys how fun and easy they are for kids to sing along with.     Ms. Cristy is from Wellsville, NY. She has over 20 years experience working with children of all ages. Ms. Cristy holds an Associates Degree from Alfred State College and is passionate about showing each child love and compassion, helping them achieve new milestones, and celebrating their successes. She attended college in Mexico, where she studied accounting and earned a degree as an international telephone operator. Ms. Guadalupe has experience working with 1-year olds, and is passionate about crafting with children and cherishes watching their creativity come to life through their artwork. She brings joy to the classroom by singing The Wheels On The Bus and Baby Shark, which excite and engage the children.     Ms. Jaydasey is originally from Brooklyn, NY, and moved to Simpsonville with her family in 2021. She graduated from Hillcrest High School in Simpsonville and earned her esthetician license from Kenneth Shuler School of Cosmetology. One of her favorite children’s books is “Angelina Ballerina” by Katharine Holabird. Ms. Jeydi also speaks intermediate Spanish, which she enjoys using to help children learn simple concepts.

  • Kristianna

    Ms. Kristianna is originally from Anderson but moved to Fountain Inn when she was young. She attended Greenville Technical College where she studied art and early childhood education before earning her certificate in pediatric dental assisting. She also has experience with various ages in her childhood education experience and is passionate about building relationships with her students to better understand each of them on their own level. She loves seeing them light up when she can teach students in a way that they are engaged and understand. Her favorite children’s artist is Laurie Berkner because of how her students love to engage and get moving to her songs.

  • L.A.

    Ms. L.A. is originally from Lancaster, South Carolina, and moved to Greenville in 2024 to start a family. She graduated from Lancaster High School and has been working with children since she was 15 years old, beginning with teaching Sunday school. She has years of experience working with 3 and 4 year-olds and is passionate about helping children learn in fun, engaging ways that spark curiosity and a love of learning. Ms. L.A’s favorite children’s authors include Dr. Seuss and Mo Willems for their humor and unique art styles, as well as Sandra Boynton, whose playful books inspire her to turn words into fun songs. A fun fact about Ms. L.A. she holds a Zookeeper Assistant license! She can also sing, play a bit of piano, read music fluently, and is a minor in American Sign Language (ASL).

  • Lauren

    Ms. Lauren is from Easley, South Carolina, and a proud graduate of Easley High School. She is currently furthering her education at Greenville Technical College. With valuable experience working with children of all ages, Ms. Lauren is passionate about creating a nurturing environment where children feel safe, supported, and inspired to learn. She strives to be a trusted figure in her students' lives as someone they can rely on as they grow and explore. Ms. Lauren's favorite children's author is Dr. Seuss, for his whimsical stories and memorable rhymes for young readers. In her free time, she enjoys singing and often incorporates music into her teaching to bring joy and creativity into the classroom.

  • Lily

    Ms. Lily is originally from Venezuela, she moved from Miami to Greenville, SC, seven years ago. Ms. Lily loves the tranquility and natural beauty of the area. She is a graduate of Don Bosco High School and received her degree in Early Childhood Education from the Development Center Maracay. She brings over 25 years of experience working with children ages 3 to 5. Ms. Lily is passionate about sharing in the smiles and joy of young learners while educating them in fun and engaging ways. Ms. Lily finds fulfillment in helping children grow in both knowledge and confidence. Her favorite children’s author is Eric Litwin, and she especially enjoys Pete the Cat for how it teaches colors and numbers. Spanish is Ms. Lily’s first language.

  • Luci

    Ms. Luci is originally from Greenville, SC. She is a graduate of Converse University, where she earned dual BAs in Child and Family Studies and Hispanic Studies. She has experience working with children of all age groups and is passionate about building strong, trusting relationships with students and their families. Ms. Luci enjoys supporting her students beyond the classroom by attending their after-school activities. Ms. Luci's favorite children's author is Barbara Park, as her books bring back fond childhood memories with their fun and silly stories. She also loves Eric Carle for his unique and colorful art style. In addition to her love of literature, Ms. Luci is fluent in Spanish and has an intermediate proficiency in French.

  • Madeline

    Madeline was born and raised in South Carolina. She Attended College of Charleston where she obtained her Bachelors in Marine Biology and Dance. She then went on to get her Masters in Fisheries and Wildlife Resources. She has worked with children of all ages over the past 14 years as a dance teacher. Madeline is passionate about making the classroom a positive and uplifting atmosphere as it promotes a positive spirit in the children.

  • Megan

    Ms. Megan is originally from Cleveland, Ohio. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology and Visual Arts, along with a Masters degree in Biology from Eastern Washington University. Ms. Megan has over 10 years of experience working with children from Pre-K through high school. She is passionate about engaging young learners and helping them discover new things. Her favorite children’s author is Dr. Seuss because of his timeless messages. Outside the classroom, Ms. Megan enjoys practicing her French.

  • Melissa

    Ms. Melissa is from Chelsea, Massachusetts. She moved to the Greenville area to be closer to family. Ms. Melissa is currently attending GCU for Early Childhood Education and Special Needs Education. She has been working with children of all ages for over 10 years. Ms. Melissa loves watching the excitement and expressions on each child's face when they learn something new. Ms. Melissa's favorite authors are Dr. Seuss because he knows how to make reading fun with sight words, and A.A. Milne because of her love of Winnie the Pooh. Ms. Melissa's favorite song is Pooh's Corner.

  • Nicole

    Ms. Nikki was born and raised in Alabama, where she graduated from Palmetto High School. She later moved to South Carolina to be closer to her family. With over four years of experience working with children of all ages, Ms. Nikki has found her passion in caring for infants and toddlers. She is a nurturing presence in the classroom, engaged, attentive, and dedicated to the health and happiness of every child. Ms. Nikki’s favorite songs are by Mother Moon, which promote body positivity and self-love. An advocate for early communication, she uses American Sign Language (ASL) to help little ones express their needs and feelings before they can speak. Her calm, supportive style creates a classroom where every child feels seen, heard, and loved.

  • Salma

    Ms. Salma is originally from Bangladesh and moved to Greenville with her family for her husband’s job. She attended Greenville Technical College and has 9 years of experience working with toddlers. Passionate about early childhood education, Ms. Salma loves teaching and finds joy in watching children grow and learn each day. Her favorite children’s song to sing is “Five Little Monkeys.” Ms. Salma is also fluent in Banglai, which brings a wonderful cultural perspective to her classroom.

  • Shyniece

    Ms. Shyniece is from Greenville, South Carolina. She is currently pursuing her degree at the University of South Carolina Upstate. Ms. Shyniece has over three years of experience working with children ages 2 to 5 as well as experience caring for infants. She brings warmth, patience, and a deep understanding of early childhood development to the classroom. Ms. Shyniece is passionate about building meaningful relationships with each child and tailoring her approach to meet their individual learning styles. She is committed to creating a nurturing and welcoming environment where every child can be inspired to grow. One of her favorite children's books is “Jonathan James and the Whatif Monster” by Michelle Nelson-Schmidt, which she loves for its encouraging message about facing fears and trying new things. Outside the classroom, Ms. Shyniece enjoys being creative, working with ceramics and clay.

  • Tiffany

    Ms. Tiffany is originally from Utica, New York, where she graduated from Whitesboro High School. She later moved to Greenville with her family. With 8 years of experience teaching children of all ages, Ms. Tiffany brings a passion for education and a nurturing spirit to the classroom. She finds joy in helping children learn and grow, and she cherishes the opportunity to support each child on their unique journey. One of her favorite children's authors is Anna Dewdney, best known for Llama Llama Red Pajama, because of her heartfelt stories.

  • Hannah

    Ms. Hannah was born and raised in Alabama, where she was homeschooled before moving to Greenville in 1994 with her family. She attended Greenville Technical College, earning Associate degrees in Business Management and Marketing, and later completed her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. With over seven years of experience as a restaurant manager, Ms. Hannah brings both skill and heart to the school kitchen. She loves seeing students’ faces light up with joy when she serves them their meals, and she takes great pride in creating a warm, welcoming experience for everyone.
